Our Story

Over 100 years ago, our community was born in the city of Trenton, NJ. Since our inception, we have moved a short distance up the road to Pennington and have become a diverse community from all over NJ & PA committed to serving our neighborhoods. We desire to have an impact on Pennington and it’s surrounding communities with the truth of Jesus Christ.

We have 4 main values that drive us

We Need a Savior: Vulnerability is the most powerful trait everyone avoids. We are not perfect, we don’t have all the answers, and we are going to make mistakes. The first step to healing is admitting we need help. The only perfect person is Jesus, and we turn to him regularly.

Everyone On Mission: Each of us has the privilege of making Jesus known to our neighbors, and we will use everything we have to do so. This mission is a team effort with everyone contributing their unique talents to help accomplish the goal of “Making Jesus Known”.

Don’t Go It Alone: God has made each of us for relationship, and we are unashamed to share life and faith in community. Faith can be a messy, often joyous, sometimes difficult journey. It is for this reason we say to come as you are and discover Jesus together.

Live Generously:  We have been given so much in our relationship with Jesus that want to provide for others.  We sacrifice and offer our resources, time and energy to see those who are in need taken of.

We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God.  It is our ultimate, unchanging, and perfect guide for life and faith (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

We believe there is one true, loving, God (Deuteronomy 6:4) who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew28:19).

We believe that all humanity has chosen sin and broken their relationship with a perfect God (Romans 5:12-19).  Only by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ as our personal savior can we receive the joy of restored eternal relationship with God (Ephesians 2:8).

We believe the church has a mission to reach those who are still living in brokenness (Mark 16:15), and to care for those who are hungry (James 1:27).  Jesus is the head of the church, and we come together to celebrate, teach, encourage, guide and shape one another with the message of His salvation (1 Corinthians 12:1).

We believe that Jesus Christ's work on the cross provides the opportunity for healing today (Isaiah 53:4-5).  When we pray, we believe God hears our prayers and has the power to respond (James 5:14-16).  For this reason, we come together for regular prayer.

We believe in the Holy Spirit and his active work  our lives (Acts 1:8).  Through the third person of the Trinity we are empowered to preach God's message of salvation, grow in holy living, and exercise Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-10).

We believe there is a day coming when Jesus will return to Earth.  We do not know when this day will be (Matthew 24:14), but at that time, He will welcome all those who believe in Him and will restore peace to Heaven and Earth (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
