Brian has a decade of ministry experience and has been serving the PenningtonAG community for the last eight of those eleven years. Passionate and faithful in his work, Brian is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, double majoring in Religion and Sociology. He is active in state-wide and district ministry committees and always seeking new ways to educate himself and grow as a person as well as a pastor.
A visionary communicator and leader, Brian lives in Pennington and has a deep passion to serve his community and “seek and save the lost” (Lk 19:10) in his own backyard. He enjoys sharing meals and laughs with church members and believes the heart of ministry is healthy, growing relationships. He is married to his best friend and fellow adventurer in faith, Katelyn, who can be seen working with the creative and production teams any given week.
Brian is an avid hiker, checking national parks off his bucket list whenever he has spare time. He loves discussing film, sports, podcasts, and where to find the perfect pizza.

Ryan Koenig has been a passionate musician for most of his life, singing and playing guitar and piano. Recently, he has been the worship coordinator for New Jersey Christian Fellowship at TCNJ and a worship leader at Central Church’s youth group in Ewing as well as his previous home church in North Jersey.
Ryan is passionate for worship that’s honoring to God and seeks to exalt Him above all else. Ryan believes that music holds a special place when it comes to connecting with God and praising Him. For Ryan, community in life and faith goes far beyond the music on Sunday mornings and involves prayer, books, meals with friends, movies, and a shared love for who God is. If you want to talk about The Office or John Mayer, let him know.
Rich has attended PenningtonAG his entire life and served on the executive board for over 30 years. He currently oversees PenningtonAG’s care ministries: coordinating visitations for the sick and the elderly and training greeters for the welcome team.
Now retired, Rich managed Super Fresh food markets for 25 years, and brings the organizational skills that made him successful in his career to church dinners, picnics, and outreach events. He also devotes time to driving a school bus for special needs children.
In his leisure time, Rich is a sports fan and follows all Philadelphia teams. He also has a passion for music and fishing, though most of all he enjoys spending his time with his wife, Patty.
Since 1990, Diane has served in the children’s ministry and currently teaches toddlers and young children at the church in addition to her role as the church secretary for the last decade. A true local, Diane has been a part of First Assembly since its doors opened in Pennington in the 70s.
In 1980, Diane married Carl, a lifetime attendee and member of First Assembly. Dianne believes in the importance of raising children in respect of the Lord and holds Proverbs 22:6 close to her heart. Dianne enjoys the relationships of the church community.
She would love to get to know everyone better through conversations and her involvement in a growth group when she is not enjoying beach life, butterflies or bird-watching.
A lifelong member of PenningtonAG, Effie Lovero has lived in Pennington and attended PenningtonAG for almost 4 decades! She enjoys working with numbers, balancing budgets, and reconciling accounts as the Church Accounting Manager for 17 years. On Sunday mornings you can find her volunteering in the Children’s Ministry or in the church kitchen preparing lunches and dinners.
This past year she went back to teaching on a Wednesday night with the Awana curriculum and was truly blessed to work alongside the children of our community.
Effie loves spending time with her family, caring for her farm animals, and a good cup of coffee—the stronger, the better. She has raised three grown children who are all following Jesus in their own home churches. Her son, Frank, is the Student Ministries Pastor, and she considers it a blessing to serve alongside him. On the farm, she particularly enjoys caring for Dominick, a stubborn donkey with a soft heart who now has his own Instagram with followers.
